Week 5: Countdown to Half-wait, how did that happen??

Hello!

As might have been guessed by the title, I lost track of time. Until Monday, I was under the impression that half-term was two weeks away, rather than one. I think this demonstrates that I'm adjusting well to Sixth-Form, as time is just flying by.
Also, I have happy news of a new family member joining my family!
My new cousin, Huw
He is called Huw, and he is the second child of my uncle Will and aunt Helen. Huw was born yesterday at 8:18 (so just after I left for school, then!) Huw is a traditional Welsh name, meaning heart, great thinker, intelligent. Huw will probably go far! My name means fame, bright. Not necessarily in Welsh.
If any of my readers want to find out the meaning of their name, here is a link to a names website: https://www.behindthename.com/

On Saturday, my family went to stay for the weekend with some friends of ours, called the Bakers. James Baker is a childhood friend of Mummy, and the Bakers have 2 daughters, one who is 12 and one 8 years old. That same weekend was the Cell Celebration, which happened on Sunday. I made it back from the Bakers in time to attend, which was good. Cell Celebration is a special church service that happens from around 6:00 to 8:00 in the evening, organised by the youth. If you haven't been before, then you should go! As far as I know, it's open to anyone, regardless of religion (or lack thereof) or age. It only happens occasionally, so check the local youth blog, https://stleonardsyouth.blogspot.com/ . (I've wanted to do a crossover between my blog and Olly's blog for ages!)

Another thing that has happened over the last two weeks is that the next series of Doctor Who has started! This is the first series of the 13th Doctor, who is the first female Doctor. I think that the 13th Doctor is every bit as eccentric and benevolent as past Doctors, though she is most like the 5th and 10th Doctors in personality. The episodes have been good, and the storylines have been fun. I enjoyed seeing the TARDIS at the end of the last episode; the console room looks a lot like the 10th Doctor's console room. By that, I mean very big and organic-seeming.

The Doctor's new TARDIS
On Monday, in addition to the half-term confusion, I went on a walk with my godmother, Alice, and her dog Morris. Towards the end of the walk, Pippin (my dog) and Morris found something quite revolting and started eating it. The thing they found is too graphic for this blog, so I shan't describe it. Pippin and Morris were both quite smelly, so they had to have a wash afterwards.

Pippin and Morris. This is actually from Thursday, no pictures exist of a dejected and damp duo.
I will be going away to Wales for half-term, to stay with some family friends. I will continue to update the blog while on holiday, and will potentially include snippets from a story I plan on writing. Though how I'm going to have time for writing it, in addition to the mountain of half-term homework...

Have a good half-term!

Random stats:
Dog walks walked: 3 (or 4)
Laps around block jogged: 6.5
